Lea is an experienced classroom teacher and curriculum coordinator. She has published a variety of articles in the New York State middle school journal, In Transition, and writes a quarterly column in the New York State Middle School Messenger. As a national consultant and presenter, Lea leads trainings on a range of topics, including Differentiated Instruction, RTI, Brain-based Learning, and Social Studies. Lea is a recipient of her state’s English Council Educator of Excellence Award, and she has represented her school district as Teacher of the Year. Lea's passion is to motivate young adolescents to become lifelong learners as they face the challenges of the 21 st century.
